Washougal

Thinking about moving to Washougal, Washington? Washougal is an enjoyable small town in the Eastern most part of Clark County. Washougal has both typical suburban living within the city limits, with shops, grocery stores, local businesses, and residential neighborhoods and also has ample opportunity for rural living. Much of the rural parts of Washougal are in Skamania County.

Washougal living provides the opportunity to live in a small community where faces are familiar and the community is tight-knight, but there’s always something new and fun to do.

One fan-favorite activity for Washougal residents is swimming in the Washougal River or Boating out on the Columbia river, both of which are easy and quick to get to. The Port of Camas Washougal is one of the best spots to launch a boat in the county, and will be re-developed over the coming decade as Parker’s Landing, a spot for hanging out, enjoying the water front, shopping, and living.

Washougal grew considerably in the decade from 2000-2010, and thus the city thought it was important to revitalize Downtown Washougal to attract new businesses and make it a great place for the community. Washougal showcases local artists all around town with spultures, murals, stained glass, and more. You can view the Discovery Washougal Art Map here, courtesy of Washougal Arts.
